People Began to Crowd Pulogadung Terminal for Homecoming

Entering 3 days before Eid ul Fitr, people began to crowd the Pulogadung Terminal, East Jakarta, for homecoming to their hometown. The peak of the homecoming season in terminal is predicted to happen on 2 days before Eid ul Fitr or Saturday (7/25).

Starting on 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, we have departed 43 buses and 10,411 passengers from Pulogadung Terminal

"Starting on 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, we have departed 43 buses and 10,411 passengers from Pulogadung Terminal," expressed Head of Pulogadung Terminal, Muhammad Arafat, Friday (7/25).

He stated that most homecomers are heading to some cities in Java Islands, like Tegal, Pekalongan, Cilacap, Jepara, dan Kudus.

Transportation Ministry Monitors Homecoming Flow in Pulogadung Terminal

"Factory employees have gotten day off, while other employees will get it tomorrow. Predictably, the peak of the homecoming would happen tomorrow afternoon," he told.

He reminds the homecomers do not hesitate to depart from Pulogadung Terminal, because his side has cooperated with the otobus company (PO) to provide additional buses during homecoming season.

"For the homecomers who feel disadvantaged by the PO, related to bus tariff can be reported to the terminal. We will directly report it to Transportation Ministry," he said. "
